Heading North
Hannah arrived safe and well and I think I successfully kept her awake for the whole day even though she'd been travelling for the last 24 hrs and arrived at 7am, so was absolutely knackered by the time we ate dinner at 8pm! So now she's all snug in bed I suspect! Hopefully she won't be too jet-lagged now! We also went to the movies and saw Narnia, which I enjoyed!
Other than just walking around town and getting bits and bobs, we've been planning the next month here on the North Island. We're thinking of hiring a camper van for a week since this may cut down on the bus costs! The bus here is not exactly the cheapest around and there aren't a lot of trains around either! Probably going to a farm first though, about 150 kms north of Auckland.
Going to almost the tip of the north island and apparently it's amazing there because the Pacific Ocean and the Tasman Sea crash into eachother there. Must be an amazing sight! The two currents are going in opposite directions and since the one is cooler than the other, the colours differ too! Can be interesting! There are also huge ancient trees....one of them has a trunk that is 13 metres! Imagine how many people it would take to get around it to give it a hug???

Hey Wacky Iris. This is not-so-wacky-Ed, Extremely Wacky Hannah's brother. Hope you are having fun in New Zealand, and speaking of all this Wacky, I hear u discovered a farm devoted to the production of Wacky baccy! Would have thought you'd fit right in. Although, on the other hand, perhaps not...Lol. Anyway, jus a note to say hi, hows it going and to remind Hannah to do that underground inner-tube ride thingy. Ask her for details!
