Our First WWOOFing place and our trip to the northen most tip of NZ!
The house of the first farm Hannah and I went to together. The one with the strange man named Doug. It looks idyllic, but inside it was falling apart. (It's hard to take good pictures in NZ at times becasue of the incredibly bright sunlight!)
Hannah and the two other german WWOOFers splashing about in the river behind the house.
Here I'm sitting on a bench carved out from ONE trunk of a Kauri Tree. That's about a third of it circumference! The Trunk behind the bench is infact the trunk which holds a staircase which has been carved out from the centre of the trunk, and is the method by which you asend to the next level.
The view from the light house which is perched on the high on a cliff....
Some of the stunning beaches you could see from Cape Reinga...
The sand dune Hannah and I toboggoned down!
Taboggoning! Me trying out gliding down a sand dune on a board....Loads of fun!
One of the cars that was abondoned by people 2 weeks before this picture was taken due to lack of planning of their trip down the ninety mile beach. The high tide came in sooner than anticipated! What a bummer!
Hannah with just two of the several shells she collected on out trip!
The fritters (right) and the boiled tua tuas that we ate after our trip to the northern most tip of NZ, Cape Reinga.
